Awaiting the mission van

Sister Clark & Elder Skonard are efficiently checking the clipboards with the missionary information.
When completed, it is their ticket to lunch.

This is their first home cooked meal after leaving the MTC.

It was a very warm 107 degree day to arrive in the mission.

God Be With you Till We Meet Again

What an incredible group of missionaries we sent home. They truly served with all of their heart,
might, mind and strength. We will miss their smiling faces and their service in the mission.

Sister Schwenke and Sister Barker had a baptism on the day of transfers. We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate her departure than to have Sister Schwenke and all the returning missionaries to attend the baptism. It was a beautiful event as we celebrated the baptism of

Nothing like a bedtime snack!

A New Face Lift

This is the old Mission Home look..............
Sometimes referred to as Darth Vaders Castle
because it was so dark and boring.
This is the new look!
We had a neighbor email me and say
"Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! It looks so much better!"

They even put in new lighting which looks marvelous at night.
The old lighting was almost non existent.

Happy Birthday President

Well another birthday has rolled around which is a good thing. He is another year
older and another year wiser, and I think has a few more grey hairs than last year!

He may be another year older, but I challenge anyone to keep up with him.
He is wearing me out with his relentless pace of running the mission.

We held Zone Council on Tuesday so I thought we would start then with
his birthday celebration. He wasn't so fond of putting on the birthday hat
though as everyone sang to him.

Happy Birthday President Beck!

A Great Way to Spend our Preparation Days!

What a joy it has been to turn our preparation days into a day of hopping
around the mission to attend as many of the baptisms of our hard working
missionaries. One Saturday we were able to attend 5 of them.

Rubyane receives lots of support on her baptism day from all her new
"Young Women" (youth organization) friends

Sister Williams and Sister Pilimai
share in the joy of their new convert baptism

Sisters Hartvigson & Sister Keelen
were instruments in the conversion of this wonderful family.

Sisters Moody, Brobst & Bunnel and the Hrovat family of 3
that were baptized yesterday

There is a scripture which truly describes our feelings
going to all of these wonderful baptisms

"If it so be that you should labor all of your days
in crying repentance unto this people,
and bring save it be one soul unto me,
how great shall be your joy with him
in the kingdom of my Father!".
D&C 18:15

The crowing event of missionary work is to witness a family go through the temple after they have been baptized and be to able to be sealed together for time and all eternity. This is truly what this great work is all about. Seeing the joy and happiness the gospel brings into lives!
This is the Washnora Family baptized a year ago.
